The price of a National Art Pass is normally £65, but Art Fund has now created a Student Art Pass for just £5, open to all university students. There are over 1 million university students in the UK, but only a limited number of passes will be available between October and December.
As a student studying Graphics, I want to be able to help the Art Fund group to promote their biggest promotion. By creating a campaign that would help drive sales of the Student Art Pass amongst university students in autumn 2018.
Before I go ahead with my ideas, I have gone and research previous campaigns that works and found these examples. These examples had given me an understanding of what is a campaign and how it works. These examples had taught me that you got to produce a very interesting and useful campaign in a way you can draw out your target audiences.
One of the most useful and effective campaign that most company uses are merchandise product that would allow others to see it- it would then be promoting itself.
I have produced a poster promoting the £5 pass to students however, as I have not research museums' typography, the influence of the museum can not be seen through the poster I have created. Therefore, I have gone and looked at the type of fonts National History Museum and Tate Modern uses. I have explored the style of it by having a go at creating the alphabet of the same font hand crafted. This would then enables me to transfer my newly gain skills on to the poster.
From the series of posters I have created for the museums, I have developed that idea by turning it into a Pinterest format. This would then allow those who search the word 'museums' see the poster. Each pic would provide a link to Art Fund giving them more information about the £5 pass.
As i have mentioned while looking at examples of useful campaign, I am developing my poster ideas to a merchandise product. This would allow customers who goes to the museums to purchase the product which will then allow others to see it.
